They say the UN approved the supremacy of Hangul and the UN is teaching it all over the world.
Really?
I often hear this claim from many many Koreans. I wonder which “countries”. I searched in vain.
All I found was this article “Korean government decided to spend 200 billion won to spread Hangul all over the world” in Japanese version of Chosen Illbo dated “2006/03/15”.
If Hangul is that great, why you need to spend that amount of money?
Uri Nara Mansae again…
[Update]
A few years later, South Korean government admitted that it was false after a journalist did his job. But almost every news outlets praised how the world admitted the supremacy of Korean(Hangul)..even the story was in the textbook and was taught in schools. The government accused the media outlets for exaggeration, but the media outlets accused for releasing false information. idiots.
This is known as “Dispute about Hangul supremacy” and everything is busted. See the Wikipedia entry.
