I finally figured out why Japan don’t like the name East Sea!
Or not… 😛 No one really cares about this issue in Japan.
But, East Sea or “東海“ means Tōkai region in Japan. That’s why Japanese TV reporters pronounce the Korean name of the Sea as “동해” or “Ton-he”. And “Ton-he” in Japanese sounds just like “豚屁” literally “Pig Fart”.
